Checking DNS

During a binding two steps must be performed,

1) Binding the url to the site

2) The customer must point the url towards the DNS for the site

Sometimes however the customer may not have correctly set the DNS. Before sending to the IT Department, you will want to check the DNS command.

This is where a command called nslookup comes into play.

Using nslookup, you can check the DNS to compare if it has been set

If the DNS matches the one provided by the IT, then please escalate to IT. However if it does not match, inform the customer that it does not match.
